GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  1. These are the terms and conditions (the “Terms and Conditions”) which apply to AIR FRANCE UK Twitter Giveaway (hereafter referred to as the “Giveaway”), a promotional action by AIR FRANCE (“AIR FRANCE”). All Participants in the Giveaway (each a “Participant” and together the “Participants”) agree to be automatically bound by these Terms and Conditions and any associated entry requirements. AIR FRANCE has the right to disqualify and discard any entry which breaches these Terms and Conditions. The Giveaway can be accessed from the website twitter.com/AirFranceUK (hereafter referred to as “Twitter”) and is organised by AIR FRANCE. Giveaway is available to all residents of the UK excluding Northern Ireland.
  2. Participation in the Giveaway gives 3 Participants the chance to win one Air France Fluo Beach Bag and Beach ball. (the “Prize”).
  3. The Giveaway will be between 12PM GMT on 31 May 2017 and 4PM on 02 June 2017.
  4. Participation in the Giveaway is voluntary and no purchase is necessary.
  5. Participants must follow the Twitter account @AirFranceUK and retweet the tweets marked with #AirFranceUK. Participation will only be possible via a Twitter account. AIR FRANCE reserves the right to discard the entry of any Participant, including the Winner (as defined below), who fails to carry out this action but is under no obligation to discard such a Participant.
  6. The Winner/s of the Prize (the “Winner/s”) will be chosen at random and will be informed publically by AIR FRANCE via Twitter within 7 working days of the final day of the competition. There will be 3 Winner and the Winner will receive only 1 (one) Prize. The Winner of the Prize must confirm they accept the Prize within 24 hours of the announcement by sending a direct private message to the Twitter account @AirFranceUK stating that they accept the Prize and providing a postal address. In a case where a Winner has not claimed the Prize within the indicated timeframe and in the form specified, the Prize is forfeited and neither cash nor any other form of compensation will be supplied in lieu of the Prize. AIR FRANCE has the right to (but no obligation to) select another Prizewinner.
  7. It is the Winner’s responsibility to provide a correct postal address and AIR FRANCE will not be liable for the Prize being lost, delayed, stolen or damaged in the post.
  8. Misrepresentative or fraudulent entries will invalidate an entry and AIR FRANCE may disqualify such entries.
  9. Participants must be at least eighteen years of age at the time they participate in the Giveaway and reside in the United Kingdom (excluding Northern Ireland). AIR FRANCE reserves the right to require written proof of residence and age before awarding a Prize.
  10. AIR FRANCE reserves the right to disqualify any Participant who is not a natural person.
  11. Employees of AIR FRANCE and any of its associated companies, as well as members of their families, are excluded from participating in the Giveaway.
  12. AIR FRANCE reserves the right to disqualify Participants found to be using multiple Twitter accounts to enter the Giveaway.
  13. In the event of a Winner being discarded or disqualified, for any reason, AIR FRANCE reserves the right to randomly select a new winner of the Prize but is under no obligation to do so.
  14. Liability and Applicable Law: The terms of the Giveaway and these Terms & Conditions are subject to English Law and the English Courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction in the event of any dispute. The Giveaway Judges’ decision is final. Any liability of AIR FRANCE is limited exclusively to the value of the Prize. AIR FRANCE, any subsidiary and holding companies, their employees, officers, directors, agents and representatives, will not be liable, in contract or tort (including negligence), or the breach of statutory duty or any other way, for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense, disappointment, or damage, however so arising, which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person’s negligence) in connection with the Giveaway or accepting or using the Prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (including personal injury, death and fraud) in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law.
  15. AIR FRANCE accepts no responsibility for any person not being able to take part in the Giveaway for any reason.
  16. AIR FRANCE accepts no responsibility for late, incomplete, incorrectly submitted, corrupted or misdirected entries, claims or correspondence whether due to error, omission, alteration, tampering, deletion, theft, destruction, transmission interruption, communications failure or otherwise.
  17. AIR FRANCE cannot be held responsible for problems with networks, computer hardware or software, or any breakdown or failure that results in the Participant’s entry or any other information becoming incomplete, damaged or lost.
  18. AIR FRANCE shall not be held liable for possible disruption to internet services or related links occurring due to unpermitted data sharing or illegal acts, which in turn result in disruptions of administrative procedures and security and organization of the prize draw. AIR FRANCE shall also not be held liable for errors, omissions, interruptions, deletion or loss of e-mails. AIR FRANCE shall not be held liable for Internet congestion, equipment quality of the Internet user, quality of Internet connection and/or transfer delays resulting from this.
  19. All decisions made by AIR FRANCE regarding the Giveaway, including in the event of any dispute regarding the rules, results and all other matters relating to the Giveaway, shall be considered final and binding and will not be the subject of any correspondence.
  20. Personal data gathered for the purpose of this prize draw will be handled, and may be retained, in accordance with the Data Protection Acts 1998 as may be amended by the General Data Protection Regulation expected to come into force in May 2018. By participating in the Giveaway, Participants authorise and consent to AIR FRANCE to publically announce their full name, including first name and surname, and Twitter handle. A Participant grants consent to AIR FRANCE the right to store, use and publish his or her name and Twitter handle (and any other personal data provided for the Giveaway) in such media as AIR FRANCE may choose (including but not limited to the internet) for advertising and promotional purposes without additional consideration.
  21. AIR FRANCE’s general privacy policy applies to all information received. AIR FRANCE’s privacy policy conditions are available at www.airfrance.com under Privacy Policy.
  22. The Prize is non-transferable and cannot be substituted for any other prize or cash value.
  23. AIR FRANCE reserves the right to change the type of Prize in the course of the prize draw or to replace the Prize with a different prize of equal value. Under no circumstances shall this alternative lead to replacement or refund.
  24. AIR FRANCE reserves the right to adapt the conditions, definitions or other information, or to cancel the Giveaway, at any time during the Giveaway without any form of prior announcement. If for any reason any aspect of this promotion is not capable of running as planned, including by reason of infection by computer virus, network failure, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any cause beyond the control of AIR FRANCE which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, AIR FRANCE may in its sole discretion cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion, or invalidate any affected entries.
  25. Should any term and/or condition of these Terms and Conditions be void or unenforceable, that term and/or condition shall be deemed deleted and the remaining terms and conditions in these Terms and Conditions shall continue in full force and effect and Participants agree to be bound the remaining terms and conditions in these Terms and Conditions.
