The World Culture Festival 2016: gigantic

The power of peace takes on new meaning and radiance in New Delhi in late March as it welcomes The World Culture Festival.

More than 3.5 million people from 155 countries, cultures, and religions are expected in New Delhi from March 11 to 13, to celebrate 35 years of service to humanity from the ‘Art of Living' foundation, established in 1981 by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and honoured by the UN. Meditation, interfaith discussions on global concerns, and symphonic collaborations fill in the first day. Ten thousand artists playing more than 40 traditional instruments are programmed. The following two days will be devoted to the ‘Global Leadership Forum', bringing together not only many personalities and business leaders, NGOs, and spiritual organisations, but also politicians, academics, athletes, the media (of course), scientists, and government officials.
