In Cape Town, craft beer is causing quite a froth; it has never been so trendy. Several breweries have appeared in recent years, including Devil's Peak Brewing Company in 2012. Success was immediate.
In this long oval room with large windows, some old photos hang on the walls and mismatched furniture provides a bohemian atmosphere. Shoes seem to have been forgotten in a corner (oops, no, this is the decoration!).
The place is a den of hipsters, sure, but they are not the only patrons, as many established Cape Towners come to taste the amber and blonde ales brewed on the premises. You can also down some hake with aioli, the hot dog of the month and, for vegetarians, oven-cooked beetroot and sundried tomatoes.
