Sacred music festival

‘Dialogue' is the theme of this eminent festival in the Pyrenees, which takes on various facets of sacred music in the most amazing places in Perpignan.

It has been 30 years since Perpignan began celebrating sacred song in heritage venues in its historical city centre. To mark this beautiful anniversary, and in response to prevailing concerns, the theme is ‘Dialogue'. ‘In a universal impulse of fraternity and the urgency of a fragmented and fractured world, artists, the eternal mediators of a vibrant creativity, provoke emotions through listening and sharing,' say the organisers. They have programmed a universal language of world, classical, popular, ancient, and contemporary music. Performers include the Perpignan-Mediterranean Orchestra, Concert Spiritual, Les Elements chamber choir, as well as students of the Perpignan Conservatoire early music, opera, and improvised music classes. A sacred programme indeed!
