Rick's Café: a popular hangout

Welcome to Rick's Café, the legendary bar from the film Casablanca, where Ingrid Bergman and Humphrey Bogart exchanged one of the most famous kisses in cinema.

It looks just like the cabaret in Casablanca. Same look, same name, same city... But the 1942 movie was shot entirely in the US. Rick's Café, opened in 2004, is located in the medina, in an old 1930s riad completely restored by Bill Willis. The American architect was able to reproduce even the smallest details of Rick's Café: balconies, arches, the large front door, the interior decoration... everything is perfect.

As in the Michael Curtiz film, the atmosphere is charged with excitement. Come for lunch or dinner, or, from Thursday to Saturday, to one of the famous jazz evenings. Or come sit around the fireplace for a screening of the classic that Willis—Casablanca. The international cuisine—duck breast with chutney, pastillas, grilled fish—is as exceptional as the decor.
