Pavyllon, casual haute cuisine by Yannick Alléno

Written with a Y, just like the initial of its creator, the chic, gourmet Pavyllon can be found tucked away in the gardens of the Champs-Élysées.

A few years ago, the famous French chef Yannick Alléno bet on the impossible and created Pavillon Ledoyen - a unique spot that brought three of his restaurants together in one place, each one recognized by the Michelin Guide. After Alléno Paris (3 stars) and L'Abysse (1 star), Pavyllon is the newest member of this shining trio (earning 1 star), and stands out thanks to its toned-down atmosphere. The bar, which stretches out over 15 metres long and offers a direct view of the kitchen staff in action, invites one to relax and unwind. And the garden-level terrace of the Pavillon Ledoyen is unmissable on a warm, sunny day.

The bistro-chic atmosphere is topped off by top of the line gastronomy. Choose among the small plates (portions sized for sharing - or not) that bring together French, Italian, Japanese, and Nordic influences: the pigeon bibimbap with seasonal vegetables, thin slices of Balik salmon accompanied by an airy aspic, pearlized turbot with razor shells and samphire fricassee… The pasta dishes are also outstanding, like the squash tortelli, garden ravioli, or the whole-wheat Savoy-style gnocchi, served with smoked caviar and roasted nuts. Impossible to decide? Treat yourself to a tasting menu, including one devoted entirely to black truffles (when in season). An enchanting escape, just steps away from the Champs-Élysées…
