After going to see the statue of Christ the Redeemer atop Corcovado, pop into the Modern Art Museum. A particularly attractive exhibition presents the work of the Catalan architect and designer Josep Ferrando. Known among the cognoscenti for several private home projects (the Bescanó house in particular), as well as social housing (Barcelona, Milan), hospitals, a police station, offices (Pacs), schools, and university buildings (Cabral), he seeks to "build the real" in the simplest way possible using a minimum of resources. The exhibition gives a representative overview of Ferrando's work and puts a special focus on the unique way he engages the duality of matter and light.
