Magnolia Hotel: stay in historic downtown Houston

In the core of downtown, the Magnolia Hotel sets a meeting with the city history, in an elegant and modern atmosphere.

Built in 1926, the 22-floor building was first used as the Houston Post Dispatch and later as the headquarters for the Shell Oil Company. Over the years, the city grew around it, glass towers pushing through. Opened in 2003, the hotel hugely benefits from its location, in the core of downtown, less than ten minutes from the Minute Maid Park and the Downtown Aquarium by foot, and also ten minutes from the Museum District by car.

From the hotel rooftop, you can jump into a Jacuzzi and gaze at the urban skyline, a beautiful show especially when night falls. On lower floors, the design is contemporary and the atmosphere cosy with dark wood panels on the walls, leather armchairs and here and there touches of bright colours. As an extra, lovely bookshelves are at your disposal at the Magnolia Hotel when you feel the need to take a break between two city visits. As for the Lounge restaurant, it offers snacks for lunch, and burgers or filet mignon for dinner. Room service is available 24/7 for those who prefer to remain in their cocoon.
