The very high (too high?) Bretagne Tower that has dominated the city since 1976, as the only tall building downtown, has reconciled itself with the city through a bar with special appeal on the 32nd-floor top level.
Up there, at 144 metres, the spectacle is mind-blowing and the views breath-taking. The concept is fervently artistic, the bar being the refuge for a great white heron designed by Jean Jullien. Lying on the ground, the bird seems to doze while monitoring the city. Its belly hides the bar area, its long neck serves as benches, while its eggs provide tables or seating. Admission is one euro. Every Sunday night at 7:00 p.m., a concert animates the end of the weekend. Try the “Nest” cocktail, whose recipe is jealously kept secret… Open Wednesday to Sunday.
