Getting around in Marrakech

Explore every inch of the city in any way possible.

Start by walking around the city, visiting the huge souks of the Jemaa el-Fna place, and then lose yourself in the charming and narrow streets of the medina. To save some leg power, you'd rather count on skilful cab drivers to move around, as driving in Marrakech is akin to stock-car competing and not relaxing in the least bit. For short trips, use ‘small taxi cabs”, and if you wish to move outside of town, use bigger ones, offering more engine power.
Riding a horse-drawn carriage is always enchanting. Head to Jemaa el-Fna square where you are sure to find one according to your price range. More unusual is the camel ride, which is possible just outside of Marrakech. To look upon both the city and the faraway mountains of the Atlas range, opt for the hot-air balloon ride.
