Chef Willin Low opens the doors of his restaurant, the Wild Rocket, for a Singaporean tasting.

Promising young chef, Willin Low, breathes new life into Singaporean cuisine by incorporating touches of modernity. And he has done it well. Wild Rocket was named the best contemporary cuisine restaurant in the city. Head to the Mount Emily Park neighbourhood to the cyber-themed hotel “Hangout@Mt.emily”.

In a green setting, you will take a seat in a minimalist Japanese setting like a chashitsu, the traditional rooms hosting tea ceremonies. A structure made of thousands of overlapping wooden sticks covers the walls and the ceiling—a decoration that is both artisanal and which gives the place its very modern character. Creative cuisine reinvents the classics of the region and the menu is reworked each season to provide a unique experience at each sitting. Taste the revisited version of sweet and salty shrimp salad, pomelo and coconut sorbet with Thai flavours or opt for the Chicken Rice, served in a mini-casserole accompanied by rice and sprinkled with slices of fresh black truffle.
