CHECK TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS

Special travel documents may be required by some authorities. If so, you must present all mandatory travel documents before boarding and upon arrival at your destination. In addition, some destinations may require quarantine upon arrival, a recent negative Covid-19 test result (PCR test) or other health certificates.

More information can be found on the embassy website of your departure, transit and destination countries, the TravelDoc or IATA websites, as well as on the France Diplomatie website.
As of 1st August, new entry requirements for France will take effect.

  • For passengers arriving from the United States, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates and Panama: a negative Covid-19 test result (PCR test) taken less than 72 hours before the flight is mandatory upon boarding.

  • For passengers arriving from Algeria, Brazil, India, Israel, Kuwait, Madagascar, Oman, Peru, Qatar, Serbia, South Africa and Turkey: a negative Covid-19 test result (PCR test) taken less than 72 hours before the flight is strongly advised. If you do not provide this test result upon arrival of your flight, you will have to take the test on the spot at the airport and your waiting time will be considerably longer. In addition, a 14-day quarantine could be imposed on you.

These lists are subject to change.

To enter the French Overseas Territories, a negative Covid-19 test result (PCR test) taken less than 72 hours before the flight is mandatory for all passengers, regardless of the country of origin.

COVID-19 TEST: PARTNERSHIPS WITH SYNLAB AND BIOGROUP

In order to help you carry out a Covid-19 detection test (RT-PCR), Air France has set up partnerships with the Synlab and BioGroup laboratories.

We advise you to make an appointment in advance (test to be carried out within 72 hours before your departure, results within 48 hours).

Since 26 July, COVID-19 screening in France is covered by health insurance without a prescription, regardless of your destination.

You can find below the list of laboratories carrying out PCR-Covid tests:

The list of laboratories is provided for information only. Air France declines all responsibility for the conditions and consequences of carrying out the tests.

IT IS COMPULSORY TO WEAR A SURGICAL MASK
  • Carry several surgical masks with you for the entire duration of your trip
  • Carry disposable tissues with you
  • Bring a bottle of hand sanitizer (<100ml)

RECOMMENDATIONS PRIOR TO ARRIVING AT THE AIRPORT

  • If you present symptoms related to COVID-19 (cough, fever, headache, breathing difficulties...), you should postpone your trip and observe the health recommendations of your country of departure.
  • Travel light and stress-free – in view of the new health and hygiene measures in place, we recommend you arrive early at the airport. We also invite you to check in all your baggage to facilitate your access to the boarding gate.
  • To minimize large groupings of people as our traffic resumes, access to the Paris airports is restricted to travelers, people travelling with minors or travelers requiring special assistance.
