1. Is it safe to use my credit card online?
Yes. The reservations system is located on a secure server that guarantees the safety of a transaction. The system uses SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encrypting technology. SSL works by encrypting all communications between your computer and our server so the information cannot be intercepted.
2. What type of credit cards can I use to purchase my ticket online?
Our reservation system accepts credit card payments from Visa, MasterCard, Diners Club and American Express. We also accept Visa Debit cards.
3. My credit card was refused by the system. What should I do?
Verify that you have entered your credit card number correctly, without any spaces, and that the expiry date is in the MM/YY format, for example, 12/05. Please note that credit cards issued outside the United Kingdom are not accepted on www.airfrance.com/uk, If the problem persists, please call Air France on 0871 66 33 777.
4. What is an e-ticket?
The e-ticket is an electronic ticket. As opposed to the traditional paper ticket you will just specify a personal identifier (credit card, frequent flyer card or passport number) during the booking process and then be able to check in by only presenting this identifier and your passport. With electronic ticketing, you save time at check-in and enjoy carefree travel without looking for your ticket!
5. Can I purchase an e-ticket for someone else?
Due to increased credit card fraud problems in the UK, Air France does not accept third party payments (the credit card holder not being the passenger or part of the group traveling together). Exception: We allow payments for family members with the same surname. Please make sure the family member you book for brings the personal identifier you specified during booking to check in at the airport. (This applies to e-tickets only).
6. With no paper ticket, what do I present at the airport?
To check in, just present the personal identifier you were asked to specify during the booking process (credit card, frequent flyer card or passport number) and your passport.
7. Can my paper ticket be mailed to a PO Box address?
It depends on how you pay for the ticket. If the billing address is the same as the address the credit card is registered at, we will post your tickets to you. Otherwise, it's not possible. Please allow 5 to 7 days for your ticket to arrive via regular Royal Mail.
8. When will I receive my paper ticket in the mail?
If you do not choose the E-ticket during your reservation, please allow 5 to 7 days for your paper ticket to arrive via regular Royal Mail.
