As of 1 March 2009, Tanguy Torlay has been appointed as Air France new Station Manager for London City Airport taking over responsibility from Jeanine Pedlow, who has retired after 40 years of service.
Tanguy joined Air France in 1991 as Passenger service agent based at London Heathrow Airport. Five years later, he progressed to Senior Passenger Service Agent and onto Trainee Passenger Duty Officer in 1997. By 1999, his role within Air France developed into that of Assistant Station Manager at London Heathrow.
In 2003, Tanguy moved to Manchester International Airport to take up the position of Joint Station Manager for the Air France KLM Group.
Tanguy is now based at London City Airport, a strategic airport in the Air France UK network, managing the station on a daily and operational basis and focusing on maintaining the high quality service as well as promoting the AIR FRANCE KLM Group.
Tanguy will be seconded to Cityjet for the duration of this role and will report to Tony Regan, General Manager Flight Operations at Cityjet.
