Flights + choice of 23,000 hotels (in 1 booking) = Air France.co.uk

Thanks to the launch of a dynamic packaging tool on www.airfrance.co.uk, Air France customers can now reserve flights and hotels together at the click of a mouse. With a choice of 23,000 hotels worldwide that can be sorted by price, location, star-rating or hotel name, its now easy for customers to tailor-make their ideal holiday or business trip in one simple step.

Customers can access this new service by selecting 'Flight+Hotel' from the homepage, with support available both online and by telephone.

Natasha Perol, Direct Sales Manager, Air France UK & Ireland commented, "The dynamic packaging tool is the latest in a number of developments to Air France's e-services this year that have helped us better meet the changing expectations of our customers. E-services online are complemented by e-services on the ground, providing a complete solution for all customers' travel needs."

The website is more user friendly than ever before. A flexible flight search tool shows the lowest available fares 3 days either side of a specified travel date. Having found the right flights, the customer can then use the quick and easy 5-step booking process. In addition, holiday add-ons such as airport parking, car hire, travel insurance and even excursions at the destination can be booked online with Air France, often at preferential rates.

E-tickets are available on all flights from the UK and Ireland to France and over 80% of Air France's worldwide network. Four self-service kiosks have been installed at London Heathrow, two at London City and two at Dublin airport, along with fast bag drop counters. At Heathrow an agent at a dedicated e-services counter is available to offer advice and assistance. This year, six more kiosks are planned for London Heathrow and two for Manchester airport.

In addition, online pre check-in is available for passengers with e-tickets departing from these airports, meaning they can choose their seat up to 24 hours before the flight. The boarding card can then printed at a self-service kiosk at the airport.
Some 'e-services' facts and figures:

  • Since April 2005, 74% of passengers departing from the UK have travelled on an e-ticket.
  • Air France has deployed more than 280 self-service kiosks at around 40 airports across Europe.
  • Every day, 10,000 passengers worldwide use self-service kiosks to check-in.
  • Today, fast bag drop counters are available at Paris CDG (terminal 2F), Montpellier and 20 other European stations (including London Heathrow, London City and Dublin).
  • By the end of 2006, they will be at all European stations.
