Following the announcement on 9^th August, flights from Edinburgh and Dundee to London City Airport with ScotAirways, will be operated under an Air France flight code as of today.

Christine Ourmières, General Manager AIR FRANCE KLM UK & Ireland stated, “We are delighted to extend a warm welcome to passengers from Dundee and Edinburgh and look forward to delivering a quality product to them. Air France has been operating in Scotland since 1986 so we see this development as a reinforcement of our ongoing commitment to our Scottish customers.”

The schedule is similar to ScotAirways’ previous one and will comprise 7 daily flights from Edinburgh and 4 daily flights from Dundee, with a reduced service from both destinations at the weekend.

To align the brand and service the aircraft will in the coming months be painted in   the CityJet for Air France livery and the cabin interiors will progressively be refitted with new leather seats. From later this year, the ScotAirways crew will wear the CityJet for Air France uniform , and will offer the CityJet for Air France service. A two-class cabin service will continue to be offered.

Geoffrey O’Byrne White, Chief Executive of CityJet, said, “ We ’re delighted that these two new routes are joining the CityJet for Air France network at London City, which has proved exceptionally successful since its launch in February this year.”

All passengers traveling on these routes will have the opportunity to check in online at www.airfrance.co.uk and to join the AIR FRANCE KLM loyalty program Flying Blue. Eligible passengers departing Edinburgh Airport will have access to the lounge. 

Furthermore passengers flying into London City Airport can make onward connections to destinations such as Paris, Geneva, Zurich, Nice and Madrid also on the CityJet for Air France network.
