Today marks the first day of the new service between London City Airport and 5 European cities under the new brand CityJet for Air France. This service, operated by the Air France subsidiary CityJet will fly passengers into the very heart of these cities, allowing for maximisation of business hours.

Christine Ourmières, General Manager for Air France UK & Ireland stated, "Air France, together with CityJet have launched this product to meet the growing demands of city to city travel in the business community of London. Furthermore, we are proud to reaffirm our presence at London City Airport in the 20th anniversary year of operating from here."

Richard Gooding, Chief Executive for London City Airport added, "These new services mean business passengers now have access to a professional and convenient product right on their doorstep. We are convinced this network will be a success and very much look forward to joining Air France in welcoming passengers to experience it."

Passengers using the CityJet for Air France brand will benefit from the roll out of a young fleet of Avro RJ85 aircraft. These planes are all equipped with 95 leather seats, and the food and beverages served on board are suited to the requirements of a business clientele:

• Meal service adapted to the time of day and flight time.
• Top-of-the-range food and beverages in L'Espace Affaires/Business Class

Customers using the CityJet for Air France network will also benefit from AIR FRANCE KLM's frequent flyer programme, Flying Blue. A Flying Blue Gold card member travelling in the l'Espace Affaires cabin on 5 round trips to any CityJet destination will, for example, earn a free round trip in Tempo/Economy (6 for a Silver member).
