By checking in, you confirm your presence for your flight, and you choose your seat. Check-in is complete when you receive your boarding pass, which is necessary for boarding your flight.

What is automatic check-in?
Automatic check-in is a new service that helps you save time by eliminating the need to check in. Simply book your trip on www.airfrance.com and you automatically receive your boarding pass 30 hours before your flight’s departure time. This service is currently available:
- for passengers in the Voyageur and Premium Eco cabins on our flights within Europe*,
- for passengers in the Voyageur cabin on our flights within metropolitan France.
- for passengers in the Voyageur and Premium Eco cabins on our flights within Europe*,
- for passengers in the Voyageur cabin on our flights within metropolitan France.
* And between Europe, North Africa and Israel.

How does it work?
If you are traveling in the Voyageur cabin, you will benefit from automatic check-in.
If you are traveling in the Premium Eco cabin, you can decide if you wish to use automatic check-in.
First, you indicate your seat preference (window or aisle) when booking online.
You will then automatically receive your boarding pass 30 hours before your departure, at the e-mail address you provided when booking online. Simply print the boarding pass at home or at the airport using one of the Self-Service Kiosks.
If you are traveling in the Premium Eco cabin, you can also use one of the dedicated counters at the airport.
If you are traveling in the Premium Eco cabin, you can decide if you wish to use automatic check-in.

You will then automatically receive your boarding pass 30 hours before your departure, at the e-mail address you provided when booking online. Simply print the boarding pass at home or at the airport using one of the Self-Service Kiosks.
If you are traveling in the Premium Eco cabin, you can also use one of the dedicated counters at the airport.
Once you have received your boarding pass by e-mail, you can still access the online check-in section of our website to change your seat or purchase additional baggage allowance at a special rate (20% off the airport rate). You can also select another method of receiving your boarding pass (sms, mms).
Please note:
- if your departure and return flights are less than 30 hours apart, you will receive both boarding passes in the same e-mail,
- if your reservation file includes several passengers, all boarding passes will be sent to one e-mail address,
- if you can no longer take the flight for which you are checked in, you can cancel your check-in in a few clicks on our website.

Arriving at the airport
Drop off your baggage at the "Baggage drop-off" counter before your flight’s Check-in Deadline. If you are traveling without baggage, proceed directly to your boarding gate before the Boarding Deadline (last call) indicated on your boarding pass. Please note: if you do not present yourself before the Boarding Deadline, your seat is no longer guaranteed.
Premium Line Europe: a telephone service dedicated to Premium passengers
If you are a Premium passenger traveling within Europe, you can cancel or renew your check-in during the 24 hours preceding your flight by calling the Premium Line Europe.
